Very tentatively we entered two new junior
teams including some very young members who have never competed in our
teams before.
The day was fraught to be begin with, quite a tight and challenging
course with some very scary fillers that had not seen the light of day
for a while! There were many refusals and quite a high number of
fallers in the ring.
Our first team Deben Black - consisting of Posy Ash, Amber Butler, Alice
Verrill and Carrie Eve were unplaced due to problems in the first round,
but being true Debeners continued for the second round and did
themselves proud.
Deben Red (pictured below) - consisting of Posy Ash, Jessica Mace,
Joseph Mace and Rosie Munson came 2nd in the Qualifier and 4th in the
Area, beaten only by Tendring Hundred who jumped extremely well.
Well done to all who took part, we at least looked the bees knees in our new saddlecloths!!
