9th/10th September National Championships Lincoln
Deben Riding Club was delighted by the brilliant response from our request for help towards costs for teams that traveled to Lincoln for the National Championships in Lincoln in September...read on>>>>
The weather was terrific and both the senior and Junior Teams did very well indeed (see below for details). The event was complemented by a impromptu display by the red arrows which was enjoyed by all. See below for results and pictures from the event... The Riding Test teams did very well with Deben Black consisting of Abi Jacobs, Amanda Salmon, Katie Foreman and Tamsin Hegarty coming 18th and Deben Red consisting of Sue Westmore, Amelia Walker, Sally Goodall and Abi Jacobs coming 16th. Tamsin Hegarty was placed 2nd as an individual with a score of 70% and Sally Goodall was placed 10th with a score of 73.5%
Amelia Walker was not placed in the Open Show Jumping as had 1 down in first round 2 down in 2nd round but it was 1m25! Yuk very very big course!!
Juniors
The Equitation Jumping team which consisted of Jess Mace, Ellen Wilton, Grace Harbottle and Amy Hunter did very well and with over 90 competitors came a very respectable 10th. Although unplaced Jess Mace came 14th and Grace 15th as individuals.
Both the Dressage teams did very well with Deben Black consisting of Joseph Mace, Alice Simpson, Posy ash and Jess Mace being placed 5th and Deben Red Emily Verrill, Jess Mace, Ellen Wilton and Posy Ash being placed 9th. Grace Harbottle who competed as an Individual came 3rd in her arena (see picture below of formal presentation). All Team members were also placed as individuals in their arenas with Posy Ash 6th and 11th, Jess Mace 9th and 15th, Emily Verrill 9th, Ellen Wilton 11th and Alice Simpson 6th.
The Pairs Dressage dressage team (Grace Harbottle and Jess Mace below) came 4th
The Show Jumping team which consisted of Jess Mace, Amy Hunter, Ellen Wilton were unfortunately not placed although Olivia Davitt who competed as an individual came 11th and Jess Mace came 12th
